    We are currently recruiting for a Support Assistant for Young Peoples Services in the Porthcawl area.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team of staff who believe in our young people and will engage and support them to achieve their potential and beyond.

    Hours: Full time consisting of 2 x night shifts (4.45pm – 9.45am with ‘sleep in’ hours, but available to deal with urgent issues around support and security during the night) and 2 x daytime shifts of 7 hours each per week.

    Flexibility is required for attendance at e.g. Team Meetings / Full Team Meetings / Support & supervisions etc.


    The Support Assistant role involves ensuring the safe running and maintenance of a project, recording and reporting incidents that arise in accordance with Llamau’s procedures, and working alongside support workers to support the implementation of Individual Support Plans at all times.

  • Young Persons Advisor, Emphasis Torfaen

    Salary: £20,858 per annum

    This position is fixed term till 31st March 2018 (with potential for furth funding beyong March 2018)

    Working 35 hours per week, mainly Monday- Friday 9.30am- 5pm with flexibility to support the needs of service users. With on call duties which included being available to go out to support a young person on scheme,

    We are looking for the right person to join our Emphasis team. The role of a Young persons Advisor is to support young people to avoid them becoming homeless:

    To enhance engagement and attendance in education, training and work environments.
    To reduce Anti Social Behaviour e.g. offending / drug & alcohol misuse.
    To support family units to allow them to support with the above.
    To provide meaningful / diversionary activities.
    To provide education sessions for young people about the realities of youth homelessness.
    To support a group of Peer Mentors with educating other young people about the realities of youth homelessness.
    To engage young people who are difficult to engage.

    We are looking for an organised, dynamic and forward thinking Team Leader to undertake the responsibility for the operational management of Llamau’s Supported Housing; Mediation; and Tenancy Support in Newport . The post holder will be responsible for the direct line management of staff, as well as ensuring that all projects meet external funding requirements on a four weekly basis.

    In order to deliver our mission, we have ambitious plans to increase awareness of our brand and to significantly increase our voluntary income over the next five years. We are looking for two passionate and talented fundraisers to join an ambitious fundraising and communications team.


    You’ll be joining the team at a very exciting time, and will be able to use your relationship building skills and sales experience to generate income from businesses, schools and community groups in Wales. You’ll be target-driven with demonstrable experience of generating significant donations or sales, and will be extremely motivated to continuously increase income.


    You’ll be working alongside passionate colleagues and in a rewarding environment, where you’ll be able to see the difference your work makes to the lives of homeless young people and vulnerable women every day.


    We are looking for fundraisers to cover one of the following areas:

    1) Newport and Monmouthshire
    2) Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan
    3) Bridgend and the Valleys
