DAN 24/7 is a free and bilingual telephone helpline providing a single point of contact for anyone in Wales wanting further information and / or help relating to drugs and / or alcohol. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The helpline will assist individuals, their families, carers, and support workers within the drug and alcohol field to access appropriate local and regional services.

ChildLine is a private and confidential service, meaning that what you say stays between you and ChildLine. ChildLine is a free 24 hour counselling service for children and young people up to their 19th birthday in the UK provided by the NSPCC. ChildLine deals with any issue which causes distress or concern, common issues dealt with include child abuse, bullying, parental separation or divorce, pregnancy and substance misuse.
NHS Direct Wales:
NHS Direct Wales is a health advice and information service available 24 hours a day, every day. Calls cost a maximum of five pence per minute from a BT landline. The cost of calls from mobiles and other networks may vary. Your service provider may charge a minimum cost per call. You can call us on 0845 46 47 if you are feeling ill and are unsure what to do, or for health information on a wide range of conditions, treatments and local health services. For patients' safety, all calls are recorded. Calls are charged at local rates.
MEIC is the helpline service for children and young people up to the age of 25 in Wales.
From finding out what’s going on in your local area to help dealing with a tricky situation, MEIC will listen even when no-one else will. We won’t judge you and will help by giving you information, useful advice and the support you need to make a change. Contact us in Welsh or English – it’s up to you! If you have an urgent housing problem call the Shelter Free Housing Advice Helpline. The Helpline offers telephone advice and information for people with a housing problem or who are homeless. Issues dealt with include housing rights, harassment, illegal eviction, rent and mortgage arrears, disrepair, housing benefit, domestic violence, hostel placements and finding accommodation.
The helpline is open from 8am-8pm on weekdays and 8am-5pm on weekends
Shelter Cymru National LGBT Housing Helpline

Shelter Cymru’s national LGBT housing helpline provides targeted housing advice and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people across the whole of Wales. They provide: housing related advice – for tenants in private rented properties, Local Authority, RSL’s or Owner Occupier Properties; Advice and Support for anyone experiencing Harassment or Hate Crime in relation to housing and within the community they live; Advice and Support in relation to Benefit or Debt issues in relation to housing, signposting to relevant local or national agencies.
The helpline is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
