By building a relationship with Cardiff University, Llamau has been able to engage with the student community to help with our fundraising.
Here are some examples of the ways students have helped raise money for Llamau:
Danica, a placement student at Llamau between 2012-2013, took part in a Tandem Skydive at Swansea airport and raised £385 for Llamau. Danica described it as “An awesome and unforgettable experience!".
Beth, another placement student between 2012-2013, ran the Cardiff Half Marathon and raised £384 for Llamau. During her training Beth said "Seeing in person the great work Llamau does in the community I live in has inspired me to set myself a personal challenge in order to fundraise for this awesome charity."
PsyCardiff’s Easter Egg Appeal
PsyCardiff, Cardiff University’s Psychology Society, has supported our Easter Egg Appeal for 2 years running. As part of the appeal students and staff in the School of Psychology donated eggs for our service users and held a big bake sale. So far a total of 182 Easter eggs have been donated and £286.41 has been raised for Llamau. PsyCardiff and Llamau hope to continue running the appeal.
